Deployment of Linux Mint 18 32 bit on old Apple Macbook

First install uTorrent

I downloaded ISO of Linux Mint 18 Xfce 32 bit:

Burned ISO to DVD disk:

Better to partition HDD before installation. 

partitioning HDD post installation leads to boot failure.

Partitioned target HDD into 2 NTFS parts. First part 52GB  2nd part the remainder of 160GB capacity.

Deleted first partition, leaving 52GB free space above 100GB DATA partition

Installed Linux Mint 18 Xfce 32 bit onto this free space

However, NTFS DATA partition was not mounted

Used Gparted to format NTFS DATA partition

Copied to the DATA partition, 500 educational videos and 500 songs

Because BootitNG does not see the individual partitions of HDD formated GPT.

To overcome 30 day limitation on IFL simply set system date to same month and year image was created.

For Apple computers set date in terminal:

sudo date 0801000116

Sets system date to one minute past midnight August 01, 2016
