Taking Ownership of Folders

When you need to salvage data from a HD that does not boot or is
corrupted with malware and viruses, you get error, 'you do not have 
permission"

1. Right click start >explore. Tools >folder options >view
>uncheck use simple file sharing >apply >OK

2.  Right click folder you are trying to access >Sharing and security
>Security >Advanced >Owner >select new owner 
>Check Replace Owner on subcontainers and objects >Apply >OK
